"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brage and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteoursness, but rejoices with the truth." 1 Corinthians 13:4-6

Vote for LIFE!

Less than a month from now, we as Mississippians will finally be able to vote to make abortion illegal.  There is alot of talk going back and forth about what is false and what is true.  One of those being that the pill from of birth control will become illegal.  IF THIS WERE TRUE, which it is not, so what if we won't have birth control??? To me, if doing away with the pill form of birth control would save billions of babies, I am all for it!!

This proposal will challenge Roe VS Wade and define a person at the beginning of fertilization.  Below I have attached a sonogram picture of our son Jonathan at the age of 10 weeks old.  Definitely one of the most amazing sites I have ever seen.  I first saw him at the age of 8 weeks old and it was love at first sight.

These next pictures are of Jonathan at 29 weeks old .  They are absolutely amazing!

Jonathan Yawning

There are so many women/couples that long to have a baby of their own, regardless if the baby is biologically theirs.  I thought that we would face that one day.  God works in HIS way and HIS time, not our way or when we think the right time is.

Below is information on the Amendment 26 from http://www.yeson26.net/:

Amendment 26 - The Mississippi Personhood Amendment - is one simple, "yes or no" question that will be on your Mississippi General Election ballot on November 8th, 2011.
The question is exactly this: "Should the term 'person' be defined to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the functional equivalent thereof?"

It is unjust & inaccurate to classify certain human beings as "non-persons". On November 8th, Mississippi sets the record straight by voting "Yes!" on Amendment 26. Unborn human beings are persons, and as persons they deserve full legal protection in the State of Mississippi.

You may see "Statewide Initiative Measure 26" exactly as it will appear on your ballot on November 8th by downloading a 2011 General Election Statewide Sample Ballot from the Mississippi Secretary of State's office. Scroll all the way to the last page, page 17.

You can also download a printable version of the image above to hand out to your friends, family, co-workers and church members. Other helpful downloads are available on our Church Resources page.

BIRTH CONTROL
"Yes on 26 takes no position on birth control methods, which are contraceptive rather than abortive in their actions."
Reason: We are opposed to those birth control methods which act as abortifacients. These could include forms of the pill which act to prevent implantation of the newly formed human into the lining of the womb; forms of the IUD, which can act the same; and prostaglandin suppository drugs, which act to cause delivery of whatever size baby the uterus contains.

STEM CELL RESEARCH
"Yes on 26 supports research that can save lives of human beings without causing harm to other lives."
Reason: Stem cell research where adult stem cells, cord blood, or other sources are used receive the support of Yes on 26. We oppose all forms of research where living human embryos are destroyed; this includes destructive embryonic stem cell research, as well as fetal tissue research.

RAPE and INCEST EXCEPTIONS
"Abortions for rape victims does not solve a woman's problems, it only creates more. The rapist should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, not the innocent child.
Reason: Whereas we understand the trauma involved in such situations, the unborn child conceived is no less human than one conceived under more favorable conditions. In the case of rape, we assert the need to educate women to seek immediate medical attention after they are victimized. Instead of the further violence of abortion, we believe women should be provided with compassionate, competent emotional and health care. In the case of incest, we stress the need to help the entire family correct the situation, which led to the pregnancy. In cases of incest, studies have shown that in the vast majority of cases the perpetrator pays for the abortion so as to assure continued access to the child. Again, the unborn child is an innocent party and should not be destroyed as a ''solution'' to all the complex problems involved.

CLONING
"New cures for disease can be pursued without creating human lives in the laboratory solely to destroy them."
REASON: The most beneficial stem cell research today uses stem cells from adult tissue, umbilical cords and other sources that involve no harm to human life. Cloning embryos for stem cell experimentation is increasingly recognized as a wasteful, unreliable and unnecessary path to medical research. Dr. Ian Wilmut, creator of Dolly the sheep, has abandoned therapeutic cloning because of its ethical concerns and more pragmatic concerns in favor of the newer and more effective adult stem cell research.

RU 486
RU 486 and the "morning after pill" act as human pesticides.
We opposes the RU 486/prostaglandin abortion technique because it kills unborn babies whose hearts have begun to beat and has injured, and even killed, women. We do not oppose testing for non-abortion related purposes, though at this time the powerful synthetic steroid RU 486 has had no proven use, that other drugs could not likewise provide-other than abortion.
