I hope that everyone had a blessed weekend! Saturday I hosted a Willow House party. It was great visiting with close friends!! Sunday after church we came home and took a 4 hour nap!! Yes Jonathan even slept that long and then he went to bed about 7:45 and slept stright for 12 hours!!!
On Sunday, in Sunday School, we started a new 6 week lesson called "IMarriage" By: Andy Stanley. So far I like where it is going. There was one part that I kind of question and that would be the fourth option to compromise. The book says that it works great for a while. However, compromise is still about "I." "I will as long as you will." The book states that compromise leads to score keeping and it kills intimacy and it is really another way to be committed to "I" because I want MY marriage to work out. In my opinion I don't see a problem with compromising in a marriage. Each couple is faced with alot of times where you have to compromise. Such as where you will spend Christmas or who will take the baby to the doctor this month. I never really looked at compromise as if you do , then I will do that. Last night I caught Chris saying something like, If you will feed Allie then I will do such and such. I think he caught himself too because he fed Allie and helped me with the dishes!! I realized what he said but I am not sure if he did or not :)
UPDATE ON FUNDRAISING: We have raised about 25% of the funds needed. The raffle will be drawn on August 13, 2011. DON'T MISS OUT!!
After buying baby food almsot two weeks ago, I just about had a melt down!! I did not buy any fruits or vegetables because we still had some. The only thing that i bought were stage 3 dinners and that was $25.00!!! I then told Chris that I wanted to see about making Jonathan's food. So for the past two nights i have made a little something. Sunday night, we had some left over Mac & Cheese, so i processed it and froze it. There are about 3 feedings out of that, which is 2 lunches and 1 supper or 2 suppers and 1 lunch. Last night was the most fun!! We have an apple tree in our back yard and although most of the apples were bad on the tree, I managed to get probably about 8 apples off the tree. i had previously cut them up and froze them. So last night, i thawed them out and cooked them. I added a little cinnamon and then processed it. I will have to say it tastes pretty good. That made about 3 feedings also, which is 3 days of breakfast.

In our "IMARRIAGE"sunday school book, after each lesson, there are daily devotions leading up to the next lesson. I would liek to share the one for yesterday and today.
DAY ONE: (MONDAY JULY 25th)
Read 1 Peter 2:21-3:1
What kind of example did Christ leave for us in how to love others? Today, focus on emulating Christ's example of unconditional love, even in the face of hostility.
DAY TWO: (TUESDAY JULY 26th)
Read 1 Peter 3:1
In the same way that Christ expressed his love by submitting Himself, so wives are to express their love by submitting themselves to their husbands. How do expectations get in the way of fulfilling this command? As you go through the day, think about the expectations you place on your spouse.
